The In Silent Service Project was started in 2010 by a military connected mother and therapist concerned about the impact of forces separation on the health and wellbeing of children and families.
A unique project supporting our submariner community in navigating the challenges of the silent service.
We are incredibly proud of the young people involved in making this animated music video! I am sure you will agree that there is some serious talent in our submariner community.
Animation and editing by submariner children with support of In Silent Service and Mermaid Post, music, composition and performance by submariner children and Never Such Innocence.
The wonder years are incredible! They are also exhausting and can be a real challenge especially when navigating submarine cycles and operational demand. This is a space to connect with peers and tackle isolation. You are not alone - reach out.
A unique space for families with neurodivergance to celebrate difference, offer peer support with navigating systems and signposting to help.
This project supports submarine and special forces connected families and individuals of all ages who would like to take time out in nature for rest, recover and to re-connect through their senses in nature.
We specialise in supporting people with deployment cycles.
Wild Spa, rest and connection in nature.
I just wanted to pass on my thanks for **'s gift from the Mermaid post.
She thinks it is absolutely amazing that there are mermaids that found Daddy’s submarine and that they knew she loved ** and **.
** is now on the look out for the postman to quiz him if he is a merman and more questions that she can think of.
Thank you again, it breaks up the time he is away.
So much support, kindness
and fun has been had by all and
I have met the most wonderful
and supportive mums on this
journey
- all thanks to Helen's
hard work.
I just wanted to say how much the animation project has ment to *.
The care and attention to detail was brilliant and you really understood him and how to support him to shine.
The end result is incredible and we are so proud of him and greatful to you and Maria for enabling him to learn how to create cut out animation.
Thank you.
'Absolutely an amazing experience from volunteers and has helped with relaxing and focussing on myself. If this was available more often it would help a lot of people.'
I didn't know what to expect but it wasn't this!
What an incredible day. Dr Milestone is incredibly talented and she brought us together (a room full of strangers all at differing ages) to create the most beautiful sound in the incredible surroundings of the Powderham music group.
Treasured memories! Thank you all.
Informative, interesting, eye opening. Who knew we had eight senses not five! Thinking about how to support my son in a different way and will always be grateful for the help and support.
